The Department of Curriculum Research & Development (DCRD), Ministry of Education and Save the Children trained 20 teachers from Thimphu and Zhemgang as Trainers on Reading Skills and Strategies & Book Management under the Bhutan Children’s Book Initiative Project. The 5-day workshop began on 26th January and it was facilitated by Senior Education Advisor of Save the Children Joseph Nhan- O’Reilly.

Save the Children in Colllaboration with the District Education Office of Zhemgang orgranized a winter youth program for the Children in Zhemgang on 15th till 19th December 2014.

The End of Projection evaluation draft report presentation for the School Based Disaster Preparedness Project in Bhutan funded by DG ECHO was conducted in Namgey Heritage Hotel in Thimphu on the 21st of November.

The illustrators training for Bhutan Children's Book Initiative Project was held on 3rd November till 5th November. The training was conducted by Ms.Terry and Ms.Sophie (Professional Illustrators from SC UK) with 17 participants.

The Secretary of Ministry of Education, Aum Sangay Zam and donors of the Bhutan Children’s Book Initiative (BCBI) Ms. Charlotte Ransom and Mr. Tim Dye launched the first 5 children’s books published under the BCBI project on October 21, 2014.
