Winter Youth Program for the Children in Zhemgang

Save the Children in Colllaboration with the District Education Office of Zhemgang orgranized a winter youth program for the Children in Zhemgang on 15th till 19th December 2014. The main purpose of organizing such program was to help Children use their vaccation productively by interacting and learning with each other and aslo be able to participate in multiple programs that are of interest to them. A total of 60 students participated in the program. The programs offered were Art, Reading and Writing, Journalistic Writing, and Dance with Film making classes.  . Besides these programs children were screen educational and social message movies during evenings. For all these programs, resource persons were hired from various fileds to train and resource the children. 19th December was observed as the closing day and Dasho Drangpon graced the closing ceremony where children exhibited their work on their respective programs. The program was also ended with a small cultural show and a play by the Dance with Film making group followed by awarding of certificates to the participants.
