Save the Children Bhutan Country Office (SC-Bhutan) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Bhutan is organizing the Training of Trainers (ToT) Program on Basic ICU Management of COVID-19 Patients. The ToT for nurses was held from April 12-16, and the ToT for doctors is being conducted from April 19-24, 2021. The master trainers will lead the roll-out of this training program in their respective health facilities. This program is expected to not only help MoH to effectively respond to the threats posed by the current COVID-19 pandemic but also go a long way in strengthening critical care in the country.

This clinical training program is a part of the Technical Assistance (TA) support on Emergency Care and Use of US Government donated Ventilators for COVID-19 to Bhutan. Family Health International 360 in Washington DC as the TA partner of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) Project is providing the overall technical support and expertise in collaboration with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists (WFSA). The TA support is delivered through SC-Bhutan Country Office.
