“Children show their interest differently when we, the caregivers, are engaged with them during play. They ask many questions out of curiosity, and it is important to encourage this rather than discourage it, even if we do not have all the answers. Usually, we tell our children not to interrupt when adults are speaking, however, I have learned from this program that responding to our children’s questions positively impacts their development. I have adopted positive parenting, where I have reduced my phone usage and stopped physical punishment. As a result, I have become more attentive and caring towards my child. An example of this is that I have created a yes space by child proofing areas like covering knives and sockets, and by playing with homemade toys. We now spend more time with our child and ensure that we respond when our child talks to us. My child now enjoys going to the PHC. He has become more sociable, likes playing with his friends, and no longer clings to me. This is a significant change I have noticed in him.
