The End of Projection evaluation draft report presentation for the School Based Disaster Preparedness Project in Bhutan funded by DG ECHO was conducted in Namgey Heritage Hotel in Thimphu on the 21st of November. This is the second DG ECHO Disaster Risk Reduction Project implemented by Save the Children in Bhutan and is mainly focused on School Based Disaster Risk Reduction with inclusion of monastic institutions in five districts in the country and community based disaster risk reduction in Paro district. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Ministry of Education Aum Sangay Zam, and other participants were relevant stakeholders and partners for the Project from the Department of Disaster Management, Department of School Education, Department of Culture, Department of Curriculum and Research Development, Fire Services Division and Ministry of Health. International organizations like the Geo Hazards International and UNICEF were also in attendance. There were representatives from Save the Children UK, Save the Children Norway and a representative from the European Commission Directorate General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Nepal office.
