The Bhutan Children’s Book Initiative, a collaborative project of Ministry of Education and Save the Children, has published additional 11 new children’s books in the English and Dzongkha by local authors and illustrators. The books are being provided to all the primary schools in Thimphu and Zhemgang, the two pilot districts for the project.

GNHC (Gross National Happiness Commission) in collaboration with Save the Children coordinated a half yearly review meeting between Save the Children and GNHC and other RGOB implementing partner agencies on 28th August, 2015. The purpose of the meeting was to brief/update the GNHC and Save the Children on the progress made on activities supported by Save 
As the winning team from last year’s one-day knock-out basketball tournament, Save the Children organized and participated in the second one-day knock-out tournament- “Partnership for Development” on 23rd May, 2015 at Royal Thimphu College with participants from 11 International Organizations in the country.
