Institutional program learning visit by Bhutan Children’s Parliament members

Six members of the Bhutan Children’s Parliament, four officials from the Election Commission of Bhutan, and Save the Children focal Officer for the Bhutan Children’s Parliament project visited Scotland from 21st to 31st March, 2017. The learning visit was funded by Save the Children Hong Kong with the objective to gain a better understanding of the Scottish Youth Parliament program

Country Director's visit to Bhutan

Save the Children Bhutan Country office was pleased to have Ms. Delailah Borja, Country Director for Nepal and Bhutan Country Office in Bhutan. She was here in the country to attend the 13th Round Table Meeting which started on 15th March, 2017. While in Bhutan, she attended the Bhutan Management Team meeting where she was presented with 2017 results and achievements for the three thematic program- Education, Child Protection and Humanitarian and the overall country goals by Program Managers, Coordinators and Officers.

Save the Children wins Inter-agency Basketball Tournament 2016

Save the Children – Bhutan Country Office, once again, emerged victorious, winning the Inter-agency Basketball Tournament 2016 defeating WHO in the finals on 9 July 2016. Save the Children won the tournament in 2014, the opening year of the one-day tournament.

Half yearly review meeting

Save the Children participates in the one-day knock-out basketball tournament

 As the winning team from last year’s one-day knock-out basketball tournament, Save the Children organized and participated in the second one-day knock-out tournament- “Partnership for Development” on 23rd May, 2015 at Royal Thimphu College with participants from 11 International Organizations in the country.
