Role Purpose:
Save the Children is committed to uphold child rights by putting children and communities at the centre of our work in in humanitarian setting ensuring genuine accountability to those we serve during crisis.
This role will lead organisational efforts to transform accountability to communities within both our humanitarian responses and wider programmes. The core task of the position is to coordinate the development and/or delivery of policy, strategy, technical advice, and capacity strengthening on accountability to communities, using a rights-based approach. Within the Humanitarian Rights and Reform pillar, this role will also contribute to a vision for transformative action on key areas of humanitarian reform. Working collaboratively within Save the Children and across the sector, this role will seek to strengthen accountability both internally and within the sector, helping to establish Save the Children as a sector leader on accountability to children.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

This role can be based in the UK (London or Remote) or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location for the duration of the contract.
